Dhalsim is a fictional character in Capcom's Street Fighter series. He is a pacifistic Hindu yoga master and fire breather hailing from India.

Driven by his spiritual beliefs and a desire to help his impoverished village, Dhalsim reluctantly participates in fighting tournaments. He uses his unique yoga skills to elongate his limbs, teleport short distances, and manipulate fire, allowing him to maintain a safe distance from his opponents.

He is depicted as a devoted husband to his wife, Sari, and a loving father to his son, Datta. His motivations always revolve around protecting his family and bringing prosperity to his community.

Dhalsim is characterized by his calmness, wisdom, and compassion. Despite being a powerful fighter, he abhors violence and seeks to resolve conflicts peacefully whenever possible. His appearance is distinctive, featuring a bald head, a painted skull marking on his face, and prayer beads around his neck.
